Comment: I love this place, I feel welcome when I come in, I normally have both of my small kids with me when Im doing laundry and the ladies there make them feel welcome and dont make us feel like a bother. Most places it can be hectic with both of them. Ms. Berta is so sweet,The first time I met her she welcomed my kids and I my daughter started throwing a fit and she stepped in and helped not many people do things like that, as a single mom it helps a great deal when your trying to get stuff done lol, all around the best experience Ive had doing my laundry. Also the drop off service is wonderful and not as expensive as some places Ive been to. Very affordable! 😊 this will be my regular spot forsure!

Comment: I live down the street and have a washer and dryer at home but I visit here every other month to wash our king mattress cover in the extra large capacity washers/dryers. Its $5.75 to wash and 25 cents /10 minutes to dry. Saturdays and Sundays are both extremely busy days here, tons of people and lots of machines being used. There was another reviewer who mentioned that the employees are also using a number of the machines for the laundry service and yes, that happens. They are however fair about letting customers use the big dryers if you need one. I have had the chance to stop in a few times on a weekday morning and can say that it is pretty much vacant. If you have some flexibility in your schedule you can basically have the place to yourself. I dont have a ton of experience with using laundromats but this place is always clean and well kept. There is AC here. Some of the ceiling tiles need replaced ASAP (brown water stains and green mold in several places) and the ceiling vents and ceiling fans need a thorough, deep cleaning/sanitizing but every restaurant or business I have been to I notice the same thing. Machines that are on the fritz are tagged and they ask you not to fold in front of dryers so other people can use them. The employees all speak English and Spanish and are very polite and accommodating. The first time I visited I accidentally put my stuff in a non-working washer (I didnt see the sign). When I told the employee she helped me switch my laundry to a different machine and then bypassed the pay section since I lost my quarters to the other machine. There are seats if you plan to stay but on the weekends its sometimes extremely difficult to get one. A lot of space for seating gets taken by the bundles for the laundry service. All in all every time I have been here I have had a pleasant experience.

Comment: UPDATE Sep 2021. Sep 2021. Back for washing bed spread and two pillows. They are too much bulk for my home machine so I used one of their new ones since my last visit 2018. Bring lots of quarters and/or $1 bill to use change machine. Price range $1.75-$5.75 depending on size of machine. All machines just take quarters. Staff was helpful with info and instructions. Now called DFW Laundry on outside but Amigo inside signs. New photos added. First visit [Dec 2015] all based on Yelp reviews. My washing machine was broken and new one wont be delivered before I need clean clothes again. Great first impression with clean and quite place. Smaller than expected but plenty of machines. Washed weekday afternoon so not too busy. Only washed three small loads of clothes as dryer at home still working. Took lots of new photos. Only took 24 minutes to wash and if you need extra wash time it only adds a few minutes. Spin dry did a good job of getting water out. Machines dont make much noise. UPDATE Feb 2018. Return visit to wash queen-size bed spread. Cheap at $6.25 DIY in largest washing machine; 3 different sizes available. $.25 for each 10 min of dryer needed. Different sized dryers available.

Comment: I have been going here for about a year & like the cleanliness of the place. I usually go in the evening & there is a wife & husband that always helps her which is nice, but the wife is always very, very rude & gives dirty looks & never says excuse me as she brushes by you. Everytime I do my wash in the evening, I am usually there until 9:30 & they want to lock the doors before 9? I like to put my stuff in the washer & dryer & go outside & can never get back inside. They also need to keep their hot water on. Most of the time its cold.

All the machines work awesome ( I’ve been to a few laundromats where you don’t know whether the dryer will work, which is frustrating.) Comment: I went there on Tuesday I was in and out in less then a hour and a half. Wonderful wife and husband team (team work make the dream work). They also have a wash concierge service where they wash your clothes for you. I dont know too much about the service such as cost due to I havent used it yet.

Theres different size washers for everyones needs. The dryers work great. Its not hot like most when you are sitting inside. They do bundle service. I have not done that before but they are always busy doing it when im here.

Comment: Decent laundromat. The times that I have gone (in the afternoons after 5PM) there are always laundry machines available. You can get change from the coin machine but make sure that your bills are crisp, otherwise it wont accept your money. The dryers do a good job drying your clothes with just 50¢. Seating is limited if your sticking around while your laundry is done. Its very warm inside too. But I imagine in the winter it would feel good and be a nice to escape the cold.

I typically drop off my laundry in the morning before work and then pick it up after about once every 7-10 days. Their pricing is very reasonable at $1/pound and the staff is incredibly courteous.

Size of the washers are single load, 3 loads, 4 loads, and 6 loads for busy people who want to throw all the laundry in together and just get it done. Comment: This is the nicest laundromat Ive ever been to. All the machines are new, its spotless, and the staff here are great. Its also a bargain because dryers are free.(Edit: as of 1/1/2017, Amigo started charging for dryers, but its still the nicest laundry Ive found.)Theyll help you figure out which size of washer youll need (from 1 laundry basket - 6 laundry baskets full), show you how they work, and sell you detergent and fabric softener if you dont have your own. Alamo Laundry is really a bargain, too: dryers are free.They have Tide and Ariel in 250G (about 2 cups) packages, more than enough for two small washes. One-load Tide Pods, bottles of fabric softener and dryer sheets are also available.

Comment: I came because it was highly recommended, and I agree with the recommendation! The folding can be done right there with folding area, great racks for hangers you bring to put shirts and hanging items, with a basket on the bottom for the laundry basket. The place is so very clean, and I have always had a great experience here. I can get change when I need it, and I get my laundry done quickly with the large dryers. The folding service is amazing--I get inspired each time I see the ladies work with such professionalism.

The machines are usually clean and the owner takes pride in his establishment, so if theyre not clean for any reason, they will make it right before your clothes go in the wash. We originally started coming here when our washer broke, but the clean facility, friendly employees and the ease of getting our laundry done all in a couple of hours kept us coming back even after we got a new washer/dryer set. Dont go anywhere else in Plano, it will not compare.

The machines were new and washed as well as my high-end Miele washer. The prices were very reasonable especially considering that the dryers are free! Highly recommended.

Comment: If you are from out of town and need laundry done, just come here. I drive 20 minutes from the hotel when I travel for work to use this place. All the machines are new. The owner is always onsite and is very friendly. While youre waiting, go next door for some delicious donuts or a meal in walking distance. The place is very well maintained and I no longer dread doing laundry when I come to Big D. Well worth the drive and time. You wont be disappointed.

Comment: Clean, easily accessed facility, and brightly lit in our a.m. visit today.We used a 3-load front loading machine in the front row, and a more typical (smaller) machine in the 2nd row. Both worked great. The control panel showed minutes to completion, a convenience we had not seen before. The spin dry speed on each was amazing, providing excellent drying times. Though we took our drying home, the facility has free drying (when you washed in his washing machines).My spouse and I met the owner on-site. He provided polite guidance on the machines. He also gave us a phone number to someone he trusted to fix his laundry machines after we shared that our 20 yr old home clothes washer leaked.We have decided that next time we have a large item (queen size bedding or comforter), we will try out one of the larger machines on a gentle cycle. (Local dry cleaners ruined our last attempt.)

Comment: Had the occasion to visit Amigo today and was very impressed with the facility, the machines, and the owner. New, high quality machines come in three sizes--standard, large, and extra-large. The large machines effectively are the size of three standard loads, which saves time and money. The dryers are very effective as well. Clean and neat, many machines available, high definition television and plenty of seating and folding areas. Conveniently located near the DART rail station and Central Expressway in a shopping center with ample parking. Attendant is always on duty. Highly recommend!
