Comment: Always thrilled with the quality and service from River Oaks Cleaners and my most recent trip was no different in that regard. They even accepted my clothes well after 9:00 (actually close to 9:20) and still agreed to have them ready for same-day pickup. (I got a text around 1:30 letting me know they were ready.)All of that is super impressive and I thoroughly appreciate that kind of customer service. But the one area where this enterprise would do well to tweak is addressing value in their pricing. I paid over $31 for the dry cleaning of four (4) short-sleeved linen shirts.That seems somewhat excessive to me. That breaks down to almost eight bucks per shirt, of course. Interestingly, I bought one of the shirts online during the off-season and got a great deal on it for $9.99. So, surprisingly, the cost for cleaning it was almost as much as what I paid for the garment!I realize we are experiencing the throes of what feels like a recessionary economy, but nearly eight bucks to have one short-sleeved garment dry-cleaned seems shocking. Even if it may well be in line with what is common across the industry, currently.River Oaks Cleaners may want to consider offering coupons as a customer retention strategy to value its loyal patrons.
