Comment: My partner and I are ADHD, so if youve ever heard of a floordrobe, we had that...everywhere. During the cleanup of our house for sale, a coworker recommended that instead of trying to tackle the enormous laundry task ourselves, with our little washer and dryer, that we already struggled to keep up with, we use a laundry service. I cant adequately express how much of a miracle The Folde was to us. Clean clothes, folded, organized, bagged. They picked up and dropped off when they said they would. And theyre not using gig workers! (nothing against the workers in the situation, I just dont love the exploitive companies that try to pretend they are a marketplace for services instead of an employer)

They are excellent at what they do and keep you posted on every stop of the way, from the time the driver is on his/her way to pick up the cloths, to when they are picked up (with a picture to show it), to when they have been cleaned, and to when the driver is on his/her way to drop it off, and finally delivered them! Below is an email sent to support.Hello--I hope youre well. We started using the folde after we brought home our newborn micro-preemie from the hospital. And yall were lifesavers. So, thank you.The last time we did our laundry with yall, the laundry came back with a really strong odor (kinda like the combo of feet and sour laundry). Since most of it was bedding and towels, we just re-washed a few times and set it in a basket, as the smell seemed to be gone. Then we washed our clothing and threw the bedding and the clothes together in a basket to be put away later.When we went to put the washed clothing away (clothing we didnt send to The Folde), it had the same smell as the bedding that we re-washed from the Folde. We would wash and re-wash the clothes and the towels and bedding and the smell would eventually come back (though we were eventually able to get it out of the towels).We have dogs and are used to washing dog bedding. Sometimes it takes two-three washes and sometimes with Lysol (old-school brown bottle Lysol) to get rid of the odors, but we could successfully get rid of the odors. Not with this laundry though.We thought maybe our washing machine was not getting the clothes clean, so we eventually bought a Speed Queen. With the Speed Queen we soaked and washed the laundry and our clothes (the ones that now had the smell that we didnt send to yall), with Lysol, with Lysol laundry disinfectant, with Vinegar, with baking soda, with several different soaps (Tide, Persil, All, 7th Generation, Costco Brand). We could mask the smell for a few days, and then the clothes and bedding would start to stink again.The unusual part is the clothes that initially got contaminated-- if theyre touching new clothes-- the smell migrates. Weve tossed out several sets of sheets, blankets and a lot of clothes because the smell makes them unusable. If this were a biological contaminant, it seems like the various soaps and disinfectants (particularly, those cleaning agents with anti-viral and anti-bacterial qualities) would take care of the cause of the smell, but that does not seem to the case with this.We recently opened another bag of laundry from the folde. When we took the bedding out of the plastic bags, my husband gagged and I vomited. The smell had been growing for a few months, and was so incredibly foul. Our concern is that one of your customers may have used some chemical product in clothes that contaminated your washers, but thats on a theory on our part. Were hoping that our experience my be a clue to something else you may have going on, as were not seeking any compensation from yall. Additionally, the pick-up and drop-off was to the garage via a code so no need to be present, the laundry was done in cold water and dried on medium heat - which was needed as we have all 100% cotton linens. All the laundry came back sorted in individually wrapped packages. Wow! Such a time and cost saving service.

I moved to Austin from Dallas and in the crazy ness of moving I needed to wash all my laundry, LIKE MY ENTIRE CLOSET! They gladly picked up my laundry and was able to work with my crazy apartment complex. Everything was washed so nice they even got a stain out of a shirt I’ve been trying to get out for months. What made it even better was the folding was so great that I was able to just take it out of the bag and put it in my dresser. I was a bit worried about some of my items because they came back on hangers so I thought it was going to be an extra fee I didn’t agree to but they informed, very promptly I might add, that they do that as a free service!!! The only worrying thing was that I also received a bag of folded towels that were not mine, even though it had my name on a separate pink bag. I was able to catch the driver to return to them.If I can receive someone else’s clothes it stands to reason my clothes could go to someone else one day. If that happens I might have to look elsewhere. But I really like the text notifications and app--I tried another laundry service once and had little to no idea what was going on half the time.But finding strange clothes in my delivery was weird and makes me reluctant to send out any important clothes in future--but those need cleaning too! Hopefully it was just a one-off error.

Comment: I made a promise to myself to find a laundry wash and fold delivery service after starting a new job to free up time in my busy schedule and The Folde has made that promise a reality! They are an EXTREMELY convenient service, Ive made pick up requests just 24 hours beforehand and they still are able to pick up my laundry and return it the next day if I make the request.I love all the different options they give for how you want your clothes washed (wash and fold or dry cleaning, different detergents, hang dry, bleaching whites, hanging all t shirts or pants, notes for specific folding instructions, etc.) I also love how sizeable the flat rate laundry bag they provide to you is! Ive stuffed an entire load of laundry with towels and sheets and still had room for a little more.I cant recommend the fold enough, they are amazing and I will continue to use them in the foreseeable future!

They have not responded. The reason I tried to connect is they over charged me for a x large bag despite the fact that it was a standard bag. Comment: I’ll admit, I’m lazy about laundry. I’m particularly lazy about ironing. It’s a freeing feeling to send your dirty clothes out and receive them back: clean, pressed, and folded! It also saves in dry cleaning, as I used to send our machine-washable work clothes to the cleaners, and we no longer need to do that. Button ups and slacks come back clean, pressed, and on hangers. There was a minor issue, and the company caught it before it came to me, took accountability, communicated the entire way through, and met a resolution! I am blown away by the speed, quality, and care of the service and the kindness and amazing attitudes of every person I have interacted with.The turnaround time was unreal. The clothes were folded PERFECTLY. They even hung and steamed delicate items. Guys, they folded my underwear.I will say, my overall rating is closer to a 4.8. The ONE negative I have is that their bag sizes and average loads that fit in them is a little off. I would say that the large bag fits, realistically, 3-4 loads, instead of the 5+ advertised. Unless I have just been doing extremely large loads my entire life...Regardless, I will continue to use the service and have recommended it to several people already. The pricing is incredibly reasonable, especially considering the service I experienced. The dry cleaning services are also BEYOND reasonable, as theyre in line with your average drop off service except for the fact that they BRING IT TO YOUUUUU which just makes this place more amazing.10/10 would laundry again. The come and pick up your dirty clothes, wash them to your specifications, spot treat any stains, fold everything that you want folded and hang everything you want hung.
